Vietnam Resource Investments (Holdings) Ltd., Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, has acquired 30,000 shares of Keeper Resources Inc., Calgary, (Toronto Venture: KEE) for approximately C$45,000 in cash. VRI plans to make an all-cash offer to acquire the shares of Keeper at C$1.50 per share by way of a take-over bid. Keeper has assets in Vietnam, including a 5% gross overriding royalty on an offshore production sharing contract (Block 124), and anticipates signing an onshore coalbed-methane production sharing contract. Proved reserves are 170,000 barrels of oil equivalent (72% gas) and proved and probable reserves are 254,000 barrels of oil equivalent (74% gas).
