Austral Pacific Energy Ltd., Wellington, New Zealand, (Amex: AEN) has acquired International Resource Management Corp. Ltd., Vancouver, for approximately US$2.24 million in stock and an undisclosed amount of cash due in January. The purchase increases Austral Pacific's interest in the Cardiff gas condensate field (PMP 38156) to 44.9%. Workover operations have begun on the Cardiff-2A well to isolate the McKee and K1A sandstone intervals in preparation for production testing of the K3E zone.
