Purchased 50% WI in Kucova heavy-oil field.

Bankers Petroleum Ltd., Calgary, (Toronto: BNK) has acquired a 50% interest in the Kucova heavy-oil field in Albania from a private undisclosed company for an undisclosed price. The selling company holds the exclusive right to develop the field. Kucova Field holds an estimated 490 million barrels of original oil in place with 6% recovered to date. Bankers also has until June 30 to exercise an option to acquire the remaining 50% interest.
