Budapest-based MOL, the Hungary state oil company, has acquired Russian oil producer BaiTex LLC from its Texas-based owners VF-NEFT Development LLC and RusOil LLC, for an undisclosed price. BaiTex owns the license to the Baituganskoye Field in the Volga-Ural region of Russia, which features a direct pipeline connection to the main Transneft pipeline system. Production is 1,800 barrels of oil per day, with proved-plus-probable reserves of 66.7 million barrels.
