Exploration block

Bow Valley Energy Ltd., Calgary, (Toronto: BVX) has acquired an exploration block in the U.K. North Sea and an additional 30% working interest in the 16/27a North in the U.K. offshore oil and gas licensing round for an undisclosed price. Bow Valley acquired 100% working interest in Block 22/11b, and now owns 100% working interest in 16/27a North. Bow Valley president and chief executive R.G. Moffat says, "The acquisition of these blocks represents a continuation of Bow Valley's full-cycle exploration strategy in the North Sea. With the addition of the 22/11b block and the increase to a 100% working interest in the 16/27a North block, the company now owns and operates four blocks at a 100% working interest and on which we have identified five exploration prospects."
