Serica Energy Plc, London, (London, Toronto Venture: SQZ) has acquired three licenses offshore the U.K. for an undisclosed price. The assets include 50% interest in Block 23/16g in the Central North Sea, 100% interest in Block 48/17d in the Southern North Sea and 100% interest blocks 113/26b and part of 113/27b in the East Irish Sea. Serica is the operator of all three licenses. The 23/16g block is north of the Serica-operated 23/16f block, and the company has identified a prospect in the block. The 48/17d block is adjacent to the Serica-operated 48/16b license. The license covering the 113/26b block and part of the 113/27b is immediately north of the Morecambe Field.
