Blocks; licenses

U.K.-based Talisman Energy (UK) Ltd., a subsidiary of Talisman Energy Inc., Calgary, (Toronto, NYSE: TLM) has acquired 10 blocks in the U.K. North Sea, and Norway-based Talisman Energy Norge AS has acquired two licenses offshore Norway in the North Sea for an undisclosed price. The U.K. assets include 100% interest in blocks 16/16 and 22/23c, 90% interest in blocks 205/12, 205/13, 205/16b and 205/17 and 20% interest in blocks 214/2, 214/3, 214/4b and 216/28. Talisman is operator of all blocks except 214/2, 214/3, 214/4b and 216/28. The Norwegian assets include 70% interest in the PL316b license, an extension to the existing Yme license (PL316) and 80% interest in the PL402 license that covers five blocks and part blocks. Talisman is operator of both licenses.
