Pogo Producing Co., Houston, (NYSE: PPP) has received a 25% interest in Block 124 offshore Vietnam from Keeper Resources Inc., Calgary, (Toronto Venture: KEE) in return for a 5% gross overriding royalty. Pogo and state-owned PetroVietnam were partners with Keeper in the block in the Phu Khanh Basin. Pogo now has 100% interest in the production sharing contract. Block 124 covers approximately 6,007 square kilometers (1.48 million acres). Pogo has stated that they plan to drill on the block in 2008.
