Endeavour Energy Norge AS, a subsidiary of Endeavour International Corp., Houston, (Amex: END) has entered an agreement with RWE Dea Norge AS, the Norwegian subsidiary of RWE AG, Essen, Germany, (London, Frankfurt: RWE) to align interests in production licenses PL270 and PL426 in the northern North Sea. Endeavour will increase its interest in PL270 from 49% to 85% and become operator. RWE Dea Norge will acquire 15% interest in PL426 and Endeavour will fund certain costs through the first appraisal well planned for 2008. Pro forma, Endeavor will have 85% interest in PL426 and remain operator. The licenses cover more than 120,000 acres north of Gjoa Field and east of the recent Peon gas discovery. The risked resources are estimated to be more than 500 billion cubic feet of gas equivalent. Endeavour chairman, chief executive and president William Transier says, "Endeavour will benefit strategically, as we will operate and hold a controlling interest in an area with a known discovery and numerous potential drilling opportunities."
