Singapore-based Singapore Petroleum Company Ltd. (Singapore: S99) has approached Cue Energy Resources Ltd., Melbourne, Australia, (Australia: CUE) about the possibility of closer cooperation and integration of each company's E&P businesses. No formal proposal or written offer has been received, and Cue Energy has not responded to the offer. Singapore Petroleum currently holds approximately 6.75% of Cue Energy's shares. Cue Energy is a partner with Singapore Petroleum in the Sampang production-sharing contract in Indonesia. Cue Energy has four licenses in Papua New Guinea, one in Indonesia, seven offshore Australia and one offshore New Zealand.
