Cirrus Energy Nederland BV, a subsidiary of Cirrus Energy Corp., Calgary, (Toronto Venture: CYR) has acquired operated interests in L8-D Field offshore the Netherlands from Kassel, Germany-based Wintershall Noordzee BV in exchange for an overriding royalty interest payable out of future production revenues from the field and for drilling an appraisal well. The interests comprise 40% interest in L8a license and 25% interest in L8b. The field was tested at up to 430,000 net square meters (16.1 million cubic feet of gas) per day from a Rotliegend sandstone reservoir.
