BSS II Ltd., Calgary, has acquired 2.94 million shares of Insignia Energy Ltd., Calgary, (Toronto: ISN) for approximately C$6.16 million, bringing its total number of shares to 15.4 million, or 50.3% of the company. BSS, formerly Tricap Partners Ltd., paid C$2.10 per common share of Insignia under a private agreement exemption with three parties. Insignia is focused on the exploration, development and production of natural gas and crude oil and Canada. BSS says it may purchase additional shares in Insignia or sell all or part of its investment.
