Glamis Resources Ltd., Calgary, (Toronto Venture: GLM) has closed its acquisition of assets in southeastern Saskatchewan from Connaught Energy Ltd., Calgary, for approximately C$141.6 million in cash and stock. Glamis paid C$60 million in cash and issued approximately 83.3 million shares. Certain noncore assets of Connaught were distributed to shareholders of Connaught as part of the transaction. Macquarie Capital Markets Canada Ltd. and GMP Securities LP were financial advisors to Glamis and National Bank Financial Inc. was strategic advisor. FirstEnergy Capital Corp. is financial advisor to Connaught.
