Privately held Sequel Energy Partners LP, Bakken Energy Partners LLC andThree Forks Energy Partners LLC have closed their acquisition of North Dakota oil properties from St. Mary Land & Exploration Co.,Denver, (NYSE: SM) for $137 million.

The properties are primarily in Mackenzie County with interests in Burke and Montrail counties. Production is approximately 150 barrels of oil per day from the Madison, Nisku, Red River and Bakken formations.

St. Mary received proceeds before commissions of $120 million reflecting closing adjustments to account for activity since the effective date, which was Nov. 1, 2009.
