To acquire 30% operated WI in U.K. North Sea field.

Valiant Petroleum Plc, Surrey, England, (London: VPP) plans to acquire a 30% operated interest in a U.K. North Sea property from Valiant Petroleum Inc., Calgary, (Toronto: AEN; London AIM: AEY) for US$21.75 million.

The acquisition will increase Valiant's interest in Causeway Field to 54.5%. Antrim will retain a 35.5% working interest.

The deal is subject to the approval of the U.K. Department of Energy and Climate Change.
