Acquired 40% WI in Argentina's Puesto Guardian Field.

Antrim Energy Inc., Calgary, (Toronto: AEN; London AIM: AEY) has divested a nonoperated 40% working interest in Argentina's Puesto Guardian Field to a subsidiary of its joint-venture partner Tripetrol Petroleum SA for US$1.36 million.

Antrim says the field's economic potential had decreased as production slowed from 261 barrels of oil per day during the first three quarters of 2008 to 229 barrels per day during the same period in 2009. Pro forma the divestment, Antrim's daily production in Argentina is expected to average approximately 1,800 net barrels of oil equivalent per day.

Antrim reports it also sold its nonoperated 70% working interests in the shut-in Medianera concession and the adjacent Tres Nidos Sur permit in the province of Rio Negro.
