To acquire 22 wells in Bourbon County, KS.

Privately held, Centennial, Colo.-based Running Foxes Petroleum Inc. and an unnamed partner have acquired assets in Bourbon County, Kansas, from an unnamed seller. Financial terms of the transaction were not been disclosed.

The 4,560-acre Hammond project includes 10 producing wells, eight of which are gas producers. Another 12 gas wells are awaiting completion.

The assets are contiguous with the company's Worden project in Missouri and include a 12-mile pipeline that will transmit gas between the company's Missouri and Kansas assets.

Production from the assets is expected to reach 600,000 cubic feet of gas per day by the end of the third quarter.
