Bought water-management service company, gaininng water transfer, poly pipe sales and rental, sourcing frac water, and water-well management assets.

Gainesville, Texas-based Select Energy Services LLC has acquired privately owned, Alice, Texas-based Alice Southern Equipment Service Inc. for an undisclosed price.

Alice Southern provides water management services, including water transfer, poly pipe sales and rental, sourcing frac water, and water well management to customers in the Eagle Ford shale with operation in Alice, Bryan, Carrizo Springs, Kenedy, Laredo, and McAllen.

The acquisition enables Select Energy Services to expand its service presence in the Eagle Ford, with a particular focus on its fluid-management division.

Select chief executive John Schmitz says, "Alice Southern is an established and highly regarded service provider in an active and exciting market. ASE will double our revenue in the Eagle Ford and we are very excited about this new partnership and look forward to growing Select's South Texas operations together."

Alice Southern CEO Shay Pierce says, "This is a great day for the ASE family. We are delighted to become part of Select and look forward to the opportunities this relationship will create."

Mr. Pierce will continue to run ASE's operations within Select.
