Acquired 10,148 acres in the ND Bakken play with 3 wells in various drilling stages.

American Standard Energy Corp., Scottsdale, Ariz., (OTCBB: ASEN) has acquired assets in the Bakken play within eight counties of North Dakota from privately held Geronimo Holding Corp. for approximately $7.42 million in cash and stock.

The assets include approximately 10,148 acres with three wells in various drilling stages.

American Standard values the deal between $700- to $750 per acre, which is below the current market per-acre price for prolific Bakken minerals, according to the company.

The acquisition represents the single largest Bakken acquisition to date for American Standard Energy and increases its Bakken holdings by more than 160%, bringing its total Bakken holdings to more than 16,000 acres.
