Acquired 2 noncore assets in AB & BC, gaining 1,600 BOE/d.

Daylight Energy Ltd., Calgary, (Toronto: DAY) has sold two separate noncore assets in Alberta and Canada to undisclosed buyers for a total C$44 million.

These assets were outside Daylight's core growth area in the Deep Basin area of Alberta and British Columbia and were not considered competitive with its other assets.

Production is approximately 1,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day (90% gas).

Pro forma, more than 95% of Daylight's production will be within its Deep Basin core area.
