Bought 99% working interest in heavy oil assets in Plains region of AB, gaining 250 BO/d.

Rock Energy Inc., Calgary, (Toronto: RE) has acquired assets in west-central Alberta from an undisclosed seller for C$12.8 million.

The assets include 99% working interest in heavy oil assets in the Plains core area. Producing is 250 barrels of oil per day.

Rock has identified up to 10 drilling locations on these lands and plans to initiate a waterflood project to increase the recovery factor on the acquired assets.
