Acquired 27.5% stake in 12,400-acre JV targeting Eagle Ford primarily in Fayette County, TX.

Strike Energy Ltd., Perth, WA, (Australia: STX) has entered a joint-venture agreement with four undisclosed Texas-based companies in the Texas Eagle Ford shale.

Strike has gained a 27.5% stake in the Eagle Landing joint venture. Currently the joint venture has secured 12,400 acres, with 3,410 acres net to Strike. This acreage has been acquired during the past 12 months and the leasing activities will be ongoing for several months. The majority of the leases are in Fayette County.
