To buy 10% WI in approximately 63,000 acres in the Eagle Ford shale oil window in South Texas.

JGC Energy Development, a subsidiary of JGC Corp., Houston, (Pink Sheets: JGCCY) plans to acquire 10% ownership of assets in the Eagle Ford shale oil window in South Texas from Austin, Texas-based TriTech I LLC for an undisclosed price.

The area acquired consists of approximately 63,000 acres (approximately 253 square kilometers). The other interest owners on the property are Chesapeake Energy Corp., Oklahoma City, (NYSE: CHK) which holds 50% and is operator, and an undisclosed U.S. oil company which holds 40%.

The deal is expected to close in late July.
