Afren Plchas retained Stellar Energy Advisorsto sell an equity interest in the underexplored Keta Block offshore Ghana.

Afren is the operator and has a 68% working interest in the block, with more than 1.5 billion barrels of mean, unrisked resources identified in a range of Cretaceous prospects. Many of the prospects are analogous to the Jubilee and other Cretaceous discoveries in the Tano-Cape Three Points Basin. Afren plans to drill an exploration well in 2011.
