Ametek Adds O’Brien Corp. To Electronic Instruments Group
Bought fluid & gas-handling product manufacturer that provides sample conditioning equipment & process analyzers, including specialty tubing & fittings, to the upstream industry, gaining manufacturing operations in MO, NV& China.
Ametek Inc., Berwyn, Pa., (NYSE: AME) has acquired St. Louis-based O'Brien Corp. from San Francisco-based Industrial Growth Partners for approximately $175 million.
O’Brien manufactures fluid and gas-handling solutions, sample conditioning equipment and process analyzers including specialty tubing and fittings, instrument enclosures and process analyzers used in oil and gas production and other industries.
O'Brien has manufacturing operations in St. Louis, Carson City, Nev. and Shanghai, China. It joins Ametek as part of its Electronic Instruments Group, which provides advanced monitoring, testing, calibrating, and display instruments.
