NEW, Barrett Resources (Peru) LLC has retained Goldman, Sachs & Co. as financial advisor to seek strategic alternatives that would facilitate development of the company's sizable northeastern Peru oil fields. The assets are in Block 67 (Paiche, Piranya and Dorado fields) in the Peruvian Maranyon Basin. The company tested the Paiche Sur X-2 well at 2,500 barrels of oil per day.
