BP America Production Co. has retained Wells Fargo Energy Advisors to divest operated and nonoperated assets in the Rockies, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana. The assets were acquired in BP's merger with Arco and Vastar in 2000. The assets produce 103 million cubic feet of gas equivalent per day (57% gas). BP operates approximately 90% of the properties on a net production basis. The Rockies assets produce 62.3 million cubic feet of gas per day, 46% gas. The southern Oklahoma assets produce 19 million cubic feet of gas per day, 50% gas. The Arkansas assets produce 8.4 million cubic feet of gas per day, 100% gas. The South Texas assets produce 6.8 million cubic feet of gas, 83% gas. The South Louisiana assets produce 6.4 million cubic feet of gas, 91% gas. BP will exit Oklahoma and Arkansas.
