ChevronTexaco Corp., San Ramon, Calif., (NYSE: CVX) is selling its interests in and operatorship of its Papua New Guinea joint ventures. The company said the sale will include all of its oil and gas production interests in the Kutubu, Moran, Gobe Main and South East Gobe oil fields in the southern Highlands province. The joint venture currently produces about 53,000 barrels of oil per day. The sale is expected to be completed and an operator named by the end of October. A broker has not been named
