Chief Oil & Gas has retained Petrie Parkman to sell the company, which operates in the Barnett Shale of northeast Texas and has leases involving more than 200,000 acres in Wise, Denton, Tarrant, Parker, Johnson and Hood counties. The company has drilled more than 250 wells and more than 100 directional and horizontal wells that are producing more than 100 million cubic feet of gas per day.
