NEW, Compass Petroleum Ltd. has retained Kobayashi Partners Ltd. to sell the company. The company's core assets are north and east of Edmonton at Craigend/Vilna (shallow sweet gas), immediately north of Red Deer at Lacombe (conventional shallow and Horseshoe Canyon coalbed-methane), southeast Alberta, Grand Forks (oil and multi-zone shallow gas) and Wrentham/Weston (shallow sweet gas). Production is approximately 950 barrels of oil equivalent per day (44% gas). Total proved reserves are 1.3 million stock barrels of oil and 9 billion cubic feet of gas and probable reserves are 795 million stock barrels and 4.7 billion cubic feet for a total of 4.4 million barrels of oil equivalent.
