EnPro Industries To Acquire Alberta-Based Mid Western Supplies, Machine Works

To acquire S&S cos. specializing in compressors and lubrication systems.

EnPro Industries Inc., Charlotte, N.C., (NYSE: NPO) plans to acquire privately held, Canada-based Mid Western Compressor Supplies Inc. and Mid Western Machine Works Inc. for an undisclosed cost.

The Mid Western companies service and rebuild reciprocating compressors and design and install lubrication systems in Western Canada. The companies, which employ approximately 110 people in Calgary, Edmonton and Grand Prairie, Alberta, will be managed as part of EnPro's Compressor Products International operations.

EnPro says it expects to complete the cash acquisition by the end of March 2011.
