ExxonMobil
XTO UK Ltd., a subsidiary of ExxonMobil, has retained IndigoPool to sell certain interests in the U.K. Southern North Sea.
The first package includes 15% interest in blocks 47/5b, 48/1a, and 48/1c which includes the Platypus gas discovery. The Platypus gas discovery was made in 2010 by the 48/1a-5 well, which contains 218 vertical feet of Rotliegende, Lower Leman gas-bearing sands.
Dana Petroleum is operator and suspended the well for potential re-entry. An appraisal well is under discussion for 2011. Upside potential in the blocks exists in the Possum prospect.
The second package is a 33% interest in Witch Ground Graben block 15/30b. Block 15/30b lies just to the north of Brittania Field and is covered by a reprocessed 3D Survey.
The data room opens Jan. 24. The bid due date is March 31. Contact Colin Macduff-Duncan, +44 (0) 1372 223 554, colin.r.macduff-duncan@exxonmobil.com.
