GeoResources Inc., Houston, (Nasdaq: GEOI) approximately 1,800 net acres in Atascosa County, Texas, to an undisclosed buyer for an undisclosed price.
The deal closed in December 2011. GeoResources divested the acreage to focus on its acreage in southwestern Fayette and northeastern Gonzales counties, Texas where GeoResources currently has approximately 23,000 net contiguous acres.
