Jacobs Acquires Assets of MARMAC Field Services
Acquired assets of the pipeline engineering service company based in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced Nov. 26 that it has acquired assets of MARMAC Field Services Inc. headquartered in Costa Mesa, Calif.
The acquisition enhances Jacobs’ capabilities in pipeline engineering and design services; both geographically and by adding additional capabilities to serve the utility and gas industries. For over 40 years, MARMAC has provided pipeline engineering services in the Western U.S.
"MARMAC's solid performance history, talented employees and strong client relationships align well with our relationship-based business model. This acquisition allows us to further diversify our services and drive greater growth in the utility and gas pipeline engineering business," Kevin McMahon, Jacobs Group vice president, said in the release.
"This acquisition takes advantage of our shared client base and increases our capabilities in the fast growing gas pipeline engineering and design marketplace. With Jacobs, we have access to a much wider resource base that enables us to enhance our services for clients as well as provide more opportunities for our employees," Wendie Hendrix, MARMAC CEO, said in the release.
