PetroSkills acquired Resource Development Co. LLC (RDC™) of Birmingham, Mich, the company announced Jan. 6.

The acquisition of RDC significantly expands the range of products and services available to members of the Katy, Texas-based PetroSkills Alliance and to PetroSkills customers worldwide.

RDC’s ePilot™ e-Learning library contains more than 600 hours of industry-validated content covering: operations and maintenance; health, safety and environmental; refining; petrochemical; production; and a wide range of other topics. RDC’s Active Learner® learning and compliance management system is the premier environment specifically designed to address the unique complexities and regulatory requirements of learning in process manufacturing environments.

The PetroSkills Alliance was created in 2001 by BP, Shell and OGCI to provide “important but not unique” high-quality, competency-based training. With over 300 instructors, PetroSkills offers over 1,000 public training sessions in more than 50 different cities worldwide.
