Rock Energy Inc. has retained Scotia Waterous for the potential swap of certain properties to consolidate the company's core growth areas in west-central Alberta and the sale of noncore, producing properties. Rock would like to explore a swap transaction involving the company's interests in its Wild River, Medicine River and Highland/Hudson properties. These properties have current production of approximately 917 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Rock also plans to cell certain noncore, nonoperated properties in Alberta and southeast Saskatchewan.
