Rock Energy Unloads Montney Gas Assets

Acquired Montney gas assets at Elmworth in AB, gaining 190 BOE/d, 4.2 MMBOE proved.

Rock Energy Inc., Calgary, (Toronto: RE) has sold some of its Montney gas assets at Elmworth to an undisclosed Canadian oil and gas producer for C$36 million.

The assets are in the deep basin region of west-central Alberta. Production from these natural gas assets averaged 190 barrels of oil equivalent per day during the fourth quarter of 2011. Proved reserves as of Aug. 31, 2011 were 4.2 million barrels equivalent and proved and probable reserves were 9.7 million barrels equivalent.
