Select Energy Expands Barnett Offerings With Oilfield Service Firm Purchase

Acquired oilfield service company, gaining water hauling services, frac tank rental and saltwater disposal in the TX Barnett shale.

Houston-based Select Energy Services (SES) has acquired Bridgeport, Texas-based oilfield services company Elite Wellsite Services LLC, which primarily operates in the Texas Barnett shale.

Elite provides customers in North Texas' Barnett market with a variety of oilfield services including water hauling services, frac tank rental and saltwater disposal. Select Energy’s acquisition of Elite represents its entry into the tank truck market in the Barnett.

Select Energy chief executive John Schmitz says, “This acquisition further solidifies SES's established position in the Barnett shale. Through this transaction, we are now able to offer more comprehensive water solutions to customers in North Texas including tank truck services.”
