Seven Generations Energy Ltd. has retained RBC Rundle to sell Horn River Basin shale gas properties in British Columbia.

The package includes 91% working interest in 18,000 gross acres in the eastern side of the basin. An assessment by McDaniel & Associates Consultants Ltd. estimates recoverable resources at 1 trillion cubic feet of gas, with a high case of 2 Tcf. Target zones include Muskwa, Otter Park and Evie.

The resource base has been significantly derisked by nearby development and proprietary 3-D seismic. Initial rates forecasted to range from 12- to 23 million cubic feet a day, with estimated ultimate recoverables from 16- to 19 billion cubic feet per well.

Seven Generations will consider an asset swap.
