Steel Excel Gains Bakken-Focused Oilfield Service Provider

Acquired oilfield service provider operating in Bakken in ND & MT.

Steel Excel Inc., Milpitas, Calif., (Pink Sheets: SXCL) has acquired the business and assets of Fruita, Colo.-based Eagle Well Services Inc. for an undisclosed price.

Eagle Well Services provides oilfield services in the Bakken basin in North Dakota and Montana.

Steel Excel president and chief executive John Quicke says, “We are excited to complete the acquisition of the Eagle Well Services business. This business complements the Rogue Pressure Services acquisition we completed last December. We are looking forward to having a major presence in the Bakken basin as well as the Eagle Ford basin in Texas.”
