Talisman Energy Canada has retained Rundle Energy Partners to sell all of its interests in Ontario. The package includes an average 70% operated working interest in approximately 940,000 gross acres of land and offshore gas production offshore Lake Erie. Net production is approximately 2,790 barrels of oil equivalent (70% gas). Estimated 2009 operating income is C$23.9 million. Onshore, the package involves 100% working interest with production of 837 barrels of oil, 12 barrels of gas liquids and 756,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Offshore, the package involves 65% working interest with production of 10.9 million cubic feet of gas per day. Some 68 vertical development drilling locations have been identified and more than 50 bypass pay intervals. Horizontal drilling potential exists in the Grimsby and Whirlpool sands, with shale gas potential in the Utica, Marcellus and Antrim equivalents. Facilities include three gas plants and three compressor stations for offshore and five central batteries onshore. Drilling and completion equipment include one drill barge, one completion barge and three support boats. The bid due date will be in mid January.
