TransGlobe Energy Corp., Calgary, (Nasdaq: TGA; Toronto: TGL) has retained Tristone Capital Inc. to seek proposals for the sale of the company. The assets include an average 70% working interest (operated) in lands in east-central Alberta. Some 82% of production is from Wabamun, Mannville and Horseshoe Canyon CBM at Nevis/Gadsby. CBM and Mannville conventional oil and gas is produced at Morningside. Viking and Shunda gas is produced at Twining. Other properties include Camao, Lucky, Morinville and Thorsby. Estimated production is 1,454 barrels of oil equivalent per day (6.53 million cubic feet of gas; 366 barrels of oil and natural gas liquids). Upside opportunities exist in the Wabamun, Ellerslie and Glauconitic and Horseshoe Canyon CBM. Bids are due March 13. Contact David Vetters, 403-539-8524.
