Venoco Inc. is seeking a joint-venture partner to help develop the Monterey shale in the San Joaquin Basin in California.
The opportunity involves up to a 50% working interest in 137,000 undeveloped acres with another 46,000 held by production for a total 183,000 net acres. The company is currently completing its fourth horizontal well and drilling its eight evaluation well.
