Zodiac Exploration Inc., Bayswater Exploration & Production LLC
Zodiac Exploration Inc. and Bayswater Exploration & Production LLC have retained Scotia Waterous Inc. to seek a joint-venture or farm-in partner for assets in the San Joaquin Basin of California.
The package includes an interest in the Jaquar prospect in Kings and Kern counties which features potential across multiple horizons including Whepley, Vaqueros, Kreyenhagen and Monterey formations. Zodiac holds approximately 86,000 acres and Bayswater holds 17,000 acres in the concentrated position.
The prospect features conventional drilling locations to complement and de-risk development of new play. Results are available from initial two-well test program drilled to depths of approximately 15,000 feet.
Third party original oil in place is estimated at more than 4 billion gross barrels targeting only a portion of plays over a portion of acreage. Pay thickness of reservoirs are sandwiched between source rock. The assets feature infrastructure already in place.
