Description
A Louisana state waters discovery was announced by Chevron Corp. in Bay Marchand Block 2 Field, off Lafourche Parish, La. The #2 State Lease 01367 II produced 366 bbl. of 41.4-degree-gravity crude, 440,000 cu. ft. of gas and 28 bbl. of water daily from Miocene perforations at 4,536-68 ft. The venture was drilled to 4,735 ft., 4,616 ft. true vertical. It is in the northern portion of irregular Bay Marchand Block 3. Tested on a 22/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 730 psi and shut-in tubing pressure was 800 psi. Chevron is based in Houston.
