Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Two Des Moines Granite Wash horizontal completions were reported by Forest Oil Corp. The Denver-based independent's #2016H Lott is in Section 3, Camp CSL Survey, A-27, Wheeler County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. The well flowed 11.1 million cu. ft. of gas with 498 bbl. of 50-gravity condensate and 2,520 bbl. of water per day from a north lateral at 12,227-16,638 ft. After multistage fracturing the shut-in casing pressure was 2,563 psi and the flowing casing pressure was 1,999 psi on a 56/64-in. choke. The #2016H Lott was drilled in Wheeler Northeast Field to 16,640 ft. and true vertical depth was 12,093 ft. Forest's #304H Blasdel initially flowed 6.51 million cu. ft. per day, with 489 bbl. of condensate and 3,105 bbl. of water daily. Located in Section 44, Block A-4, H&GN Survey, A-8387, the well was tested on a 56/64-in. choke. Production came from a fractured Des Moines Granite Wash lateral at 12,048-16,372 ft. that extends northward into Section 4, Block E, H. Parris Survey, A-8385. The measured and true vertical depths are 16,445 ft. and 11,400 ft., respectively.
