Drilling Activity Summary
Description
A Texas Panhandle completion by Denver-based Forest Oil Corp. had an initial flow rate of 21.5 million cu. ft. of gas, 1,107 bbl. of 61-gravity condensate and 1,397 bbl. of water per day in Wheeler County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. The #1023H L. Elmore is in Section 4, Camp CSL Survey, A-24, and produces from a south horizontal leg in Des Moines Granite Wash at 13,095-17,390 ft. Following 10-stage fracture stimulation, Forest recorded shut-in and flowing tubing pressures of 1,363 psi and 1,139 psi, respectively, and calculated absolute open flow at 66 million cu. ft. of gas daily. The well was drilled to 17,531 ft. Forest has a leasehold of about 97,000 acres in the region and has operated a maximum of four rigs in the play so far in 2010.
