Description

In Winkler County (RRC Dist. 8), Texas, WPX Energy Co. announced results from three Phantom Field-Third Bone Spring wells. The Delaware Basin ventures were drilled at a drillpad in Section 44, Block 27, PSL/McKee Survey. The #7H Bridal Veil State W 4132-27 G has a total depth of 22,021 ft and a true vertical depth of 11,543 ft. It was tested flowing 950 bbl of 43° API oil, 1.404 MMcf of gas per day during testing on a 52/64-incxh choke. Production is from perforations between 11,864 ft and 21,882 ft with a flowing casing pressure of 624 psi. The #11H Bridal Veil State W 4132-27 K was drilled to 21,915 ft (11,565 ft true vertical). It initially flowed 866 bbl of 43° API oil and 971,000 cu ft of gas daily from perforations at 11,854-21,726 ft. Gauged on a 24/64-inch choke, the flowing casing pressure was 2,550 psi. The #15H Bridal Veil State W 4132-27 O was drilled to a total depth of 21,624 ft with a true vertical depth of 11,609 ft. The venture produced 544 bbl of 43° API oil and 685,000 cu ft of gas per day. Production is from perforations at 11,662-21,490 ft. Tested on a 25/64-in choke, the flowing casing pressure was 2,000 psi. WPX was acquired by Oklahoma City-based Devon Energy Inc. in a transaction that closed in January 2021.
