Drilling Activity Summary

Description

According to IHS Inc., Denver-based Forest Oil Corp. completed three Des Moines Granite Wash-Anadarko Basin wells in Wheeler County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas. The #409H Willis Luther flowed gas at an initial rate of 20.3 million cu. ft., with 688 bbl. of 56-gravity condensate and 1,606 bbl. of water daily. The well is in Section 1, Camp CSL Survey, A-25. Production comes from perforations between 11,500 and 13,301 ft. in a north lateral drilled to 15,920 ft. The shut-in and flowing tubing pressures were 1,813 psi and 1,265 psi, respectively, with absolute open flow calculated at 42 million cu. ft. of gas per day. The #209H Willis Luther is in Section 2, Camp CSL Survey, A-26 and was tested on a 30/64-in. choke flowing 19.7 million cu. ft. of gas, 950 bbl. of 58-gravity condensate and 1,100 bbl. of water per day from perforations between 11,808 and 15,987 ft. The well was drilled southward and fractured in 10 stages. The shut-in pressure was 1,993 psi and the flowing tubing pressure was 1,454 psi at the 16,089-ft. well, which has been incorporated into Wheeler Northeast Field. Absolute open flow was of gas daily. In Section 2, Camp CSL Survey, #6011H had an initial gas flow rate of 10.1 million cu. ft., 646 bbl. of water daily and an unreported amount of 54-gravity condensate. The well was fracture-stimulated in 10 stages from 12,097 to 16,392 ft. in a south Des Moines lateral extending to 16,443 ft. and tested on a 30/64-in. choke. The shut-in and flowing tubing pressures were 1,513 psi and 646 psi, respectively, and the absolute open flow was calculated at 11.2 million cu. ft. of gas per day.
