Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Two Live Oak County (RRC Dist. 2), Texas, Austin Chalk discoveries were announced by Burlington Resources Oil & Gas Co. in Sugarcane Field. The #701 Baker Family Trust was drilled to 17,949 ft and the true vertical depth is 12,348 ft and is in Section 188, William H Rogers Survey, A-401t. It initially flowed 454 bbl of condensate with 2.791 MMcf of gas and 192 bbl of water per day. Production is from perforations at 12,322-175,539 ft. Gauged on a 16/64-inch choke, the flowing casing pressure was 4,736 psi and the shut-in casing pressure was 5,081 psi. The #702 Baker Family Trust was drilled to 16,676 ft (12,282 ft true vertical) and it produced at a daily rate of 554 bbl of condensate, 2.481 MMcf of gas and 223 bbl of water from perforations at 12,188-16,555 ft. Tested on a 14/64-inch choke, the respective flowing tubing pressure and shut-in casing pressures are 4,802 and 5,550 psi. Burlington is a subsidiary of ConocoPhillips.
